Queenstown Arrowtown and Glenorchy have many activities and attractions .

A Helpful Directory of website links for visiting New Zealand is at the bottom of the page.

Venture through the activities and attractions of the Queenstown and Milford sounds area for a fun time, view the 13 pages below. These are a collection of Nery and Michael's recommendations that we would give you if you stayed at the Trelawn Riverside Bed and Breakfast.

Return to Home page. Depending on the time of the year most activities can be organized the day before.

As you go down this list if  you click on the titles you will be taken to a more detailed account of that subject. If you would like some suggestions on how you can put all the activities together click on the tripadvisor logo.

Arrowtown a charming village born in the 1860's gold rush period. It makes an interesting and relaxing ½ day trip and can include art galleries and the wineries as well.

Children's Entertainment For those young families with children specifically under 10 years of age. This is a list of things you can do in Queenstown.

Fishing - If you intend to do some fly fishing it is suggested that you do some preparation, as the fishing is good but not easy. You can  get a idea of what you may experience by viewing these videos of  New Zealand Trophy Waters.

Glenorchy At the head of the lake and the entrance to 'Paradise'. Wonderful walks and boat rides in magnificent scenery, 45 minutes from Queenstown. A good day trip.

Golf Courses Queenstown has a choice of 6 courses including the international course of Millbrook Resort, and the world famous Kelvin Heights ( Queenstown Golf Club )

Horse Riding options  For all abilities including Moonlight Stables at Arrow junction, Dart and High country horses at Glenorchy.

Jet boating options In the Queenstown and Wanaka area there are many jet boating options. Most can be included in a combination of activities.

Milford and Doubtful Sounds  voted the most popular destination world wide. We can point out the differences. Doubtful can be seen as a day trip. However we feel the Overnight Cruise is the way to take it all in. Milford Sound can be seen in a half day trip, you would need to fly at least one way to do this. We can advise you on the transport options, as there are many.

Queenstown Scenic Flights Breath taking flights over snowy mountains, rivers, waterfalls, glaciers and Fiords. Often said to be the highlight of the holiday by guests.

Family fun with the children. Kiwi Birdlife Park allow 2 - 2.5 hours, we consider this as a must see activity. Ideally arrive a hour before the show times. The entry fee includes a 40 minute Te Maori cultural show. Skyline Gondola take the ride up to the skyline restaurant and take in the breath taking view. You have the opportunity up there, to view the other Maori cultural Kiwi Haka Show and to experience the Skyline Luge. Lots of fun for the family.

Skiing From July to early October, there are several fields near by.

Skippers Canyon Exciting excursion by four wheel drive into the remote and dramatic upper reaches of the Shotover river, and the ghost town of 'Skippers'. Bungy jumping and white-water rafting has laterly made the Shotover river famous again.

Walks and Tramping A brief summary of the guided and unguided walks in this area. Heli hiking is a new option available this season.
